AmazonMP3

Finally, someone get’s it! Amazon recently launched a beta of AmazonMP3.
They have finally figured out that people who download illegal tracks without DRM are getting a better product than those people who get DRM protected music from iTunes and the like. If you want to stop illegal downloading, you have to offer an equivalent or superior product, not some gimped out DRM crippled product that limits their options with respect to music players.

Amazon has signed up several labels to offer completely DRM free, honest to goodness, MP3 files for about the same price as iTunes songs. This is a great option for people like me who want to be able to burn the MP3s onto an MP3 Cd to play in my car, or load it onto my GPS system which has MP3 player software built-in.

Now the question is, how long will it take the other music labels to jump on board?
