The Home of the Future is Here Today

For years, I have longed for the fully computerized house. Thanks to some amazing open source software called LinuxMCE, the future has arrived.

Rather that explain all this in my blog, the best thing is to watch this twenty or so minute video.

Stay tuned for the first phase of my project, which will be the setting up of a cheap Network Attached Storage system for under $500, with half a terrabyte of RAID1 storage using FreeNAS.
