I’m a software developer. I’ve been doing it professionally since high school. Mostly, I’ve used Microsoft development tools or tools they eventually acquired (Foxpro for example). Currently, I use the .NET technologies.
Despite this being my bread and butter, please don’t mistake me for a Microsoft fanboy. I’m certainly not. I strongly believe in open source, particularly free open source software (FOSS). Sadly, there is little FOSS in the world of .NET. I also use and promote alternative operating systems. When I’m not gaming, developing software or using Adobe products, I’m perfectly happy using Ubuntu as my desktop operating system and FreeNAS as my network operating system at home. It gets better with each release.
